This original 20x20 inch oil painting is part of my 'A Breath of Fresh Air' collection. Inspired by my growing backyard garden, and the plants I add each year, each painting represents the joy of the growing season. Using expressive brush strokes, and creamy oil paint, I blend colors on the canvas to create a delicate painterly interpretation of the blooms. For this piece, I wanted to capture the light, movement, and grace of my Duchesse De Nemours peony. This piece is especially significant in my shift into oil painting. If you look closely it is heavily textured. I painted over an old painting of mine, bringing new life onto my canvas with a new direction within my art practice. I layered oil paint to create the textured petals and leaves.

This original painting is painted on a 20x20 inch canvas and comes unframed. The sides are painted a complimentary gray-lavender hue.

Shipping

Each painting is packaged and shipped with care to ensure it arrives safe and sound. Each piece is placed within an archival sleeve and topped with a bow- perfect for gift giving! Then each painting is carefully wrapped with recyclable paper 'bubble wrap' and placed securely within a box and shipped with tracking.
