This textured acrylic floral painting on wood panel comes with a metallic gold frame. (The sides and interior of the frame are black to create a classy look. I used textured paint and expressive brush strokes for this whimsical abstract floral painting.  Cheerful golden black eyed susan's, magenta cosmos, peach and white asters dance across a bed of greenery.

Paintings made from the Heart

Painting and gardening are two of my favorite things, so it's only natural that I find inspiration in the changing light within my garden. There's a lot to love and learn from tending a garden. I try to teach my kids the connection of each flower and plant to the wildlife that surrounds us. From spring to fall and then winter, the life cycle of each plant serves a purpose. In the winter, we watch birds enjoying dried seeds from the brown flower heads. Insects take refuge in hollow stems, and bumblebees hibernate under dead leaves and dirt. And in spring, we are always surprised when some of the leftover seeds find some ground and a new season of life begins.
