Painted using textural brushstrokes, and coastal hues, this piece features coastal hydrangeas. I used impasto medium mixed with acrylic paint and stiff brushes to create the natural textures and forms within the petals. Saltwashed and sunbleached, I mixed colors reflecting the coastal atmosphere, reminiscent of a coastal cottage garden.
